Overview
A wellness app concept designed to help users build healthy habits without the pressure of streaks or guilt. The focus was on creating a supportive, judgment-free experience.
The Challenge
Most wellness apps rely on streaks and notifications that can create anxiety rather than motivation. I wanted to explore how design could encourage healthy habits through positive reinforcement instead.
The Solution
I designed around the concept of "gentle progress"—celebrating small wins, offering flexible scheduling, and using calming visuals. The app never punishes missed days, instead offering encouraging messages and easy ways to get back on track.
What I Learned
Conducted 8 user interviews to validate the concept
Created user personas and journey maps
Iterated through 3 major design versions based on feedback
Learned the importance of emotional design in health apps
